With one-fifth of the NFL season in the books, it’s time to outsmart your league mates by making savvy trades that set you up for late-season and playoff success. Let’s zoom in on players who’ll carry you to a championship. Thinking ahead is like having the best playbook in a pickup game—you’ll leave everyone in the dust.
Hey, Rewinders! It’s your boy Brandon, host of the redraft-focused Deep Dive Fantasy Football podcast, back with another article—this one sparked by a brilliant idea from Rubbaz in my free redraft Discord community (hit me up to join the action, though it’s nothing quite as buttoned-up as the Rewinders Discord).
Below, I’m diving deep into my Week 4 buy and sell targets, each with their own spotlight, to help you dominate your league. Let’s make those trades and stack those points!
Buy Targets: Load Up for Playoff Glory
Trey Benson
The Cardinals’ rookie running back is a prime buy-low target after a quiet showing. With eight carries and five receptions for just 10.4 PPR points recently—and Emari Demercado stealing a key drive—some owners might think Benson isn’t the RB1B behind James Conner that coaches hyped all offseason. Wrong move, Rewinders! This dip is your golden ticket. Benson’s five targets show he’s involved in the passing game, and his talent screams borderline top-12 RB potential. Trade for him now before he breaks out and his price soars like a game-winning field goal. Don’t let this window close—pounce while owners are doubting him!
Matthew Golden
The Packers’ rookie wide receiver is a must-have before his value skyrockets. His snap share has climbed steadily—48% in Week 1, 59% in Week 2, and 71% in Week 3—and he’s been this close to monster plays. In Week 2, Jordan Love missed him on a 20-yard touchdown and a deep ball. Against the Browns last week, another near-miss could’ve been a house-call touchdown. In Week 4, he faces the Cowboys’ porous secondary, which has allowed the most points to WRs—setting the stage for a breakout. Buy Golden before this Sunday! Remember, even Justin Jefferson was dropped early as a rookie—don’t sleep on this gem.
Bhayshul Tuten
Tuten is averaging over one fantasy point per touch, and while his Week 3 snap share didn’t spike as expected, his role is growing. He’s a sneaky stash with massive upside—like finding a sleeper pick who becomes your league’s MVP. Trade for him now before his touches increase and he’s no longer under the radar. Travis Etienne may be ahead of him now, but Etienne has built a career off starting hot and fading fast. Tuten’s the kind of player who could turn your roster into a fantasy juggernaut by season’s end.
Josh Jacobs
Sitting at RB18, Jacobs is a screaming buy after facing brutal run defenses early (Lions, Commanders, Browns). He’s racking up 20+ touches per game on a high-octane offense with an explosive passing game that keeps defenses honest. His schedule gets softer, and I see him climbing to RB5–8 if he stays healthy. Right now, his RB18 ranking is a mirage—Jacobs is one of the NFL’s most utilized backs, and his production will catch up. Trade for him before he’s valued like the elite RB he is, and watch him carry your team to the playoffs.
Treyveon Henderson
The Patriots’ rookie RB is a perfect buy, especially if he has a quiet Week 4. With Rhamondre Stevenson and Antonio Gibson fumbling like they’re playing hot potato, Henderson’s talent and ball security make him a future star. His schedule after Week 4 is a fantasy dream—only two matchups aren’t against bottom-10 RB defenses. In the playoffs (Weeks 15–17), he faces the Bills, Ravens, and Jets, where the Patriots will likely trail, boosting his receiving role. Buy him now, especially if owners are frustrated—you’ll have a playoff monster on your hands.
Baker Mayfield
After a likely tough Week 4 against the Eagles, Mayfield’s a steal. His Week 1 20+ point game is fading from owners’ minds after two straight weeks under 20 points (and likely a third vs. the Eagles). With Chris Godwin, LT Tristan Wirfs, RT Luke Goedeke, and possibly Mike Evans and Jalen McMillan back by Week 6 or 7, he’ll have his full arsenal. His playoff schedule (Saints, Falcons, Panthers, Dolphins) is a fantasy goldmine, with divisional games and a high-scoring Dolphins matchup. Mayfield’s a top-five QB candidate during the playoffs—buy low now before he lights up scoreboards.
Caleb Williams
The Bears’ QB3 is a near lock to finish top-7, making him a prime trade target. His offense is improving, with rookies Colston Loveland and Luther Burden ready to step up and Ben Johnson dialing up creative plays. The reshuffled O-line, new play-caller, and rookie weapons all point to a stronger second half of the year. A shaky Bears defense forces pass-heavy game scripts, which Williams thrives in. Owners likely undervalue him as QB3—trade for him now before his value matches his elite output. He’s your ticket to a championship run.
Kirk Cousins
In superflex or dynasty leagues, Cousins is a must-buy. Atlanta’s mismanagement—paying him big to back up Michael Penix Jr.—is a head-scratcher, and he should be traded soon. Teams like the Browns or Bengals could use him to salvage their seasons. Two years removed from his Achilles tear, he’s a league-average starter, making him a solid QB2 in superflex formats. Grab him for a third-round pick now, and you could flip him for a second once he lands a starting gig. Cousins is a low-risk, high-reward move for savvy traders.
Tyler Shough
A deep dynasty dart throw, Shough is a speculative buy for superflex leagues. If the Saints keep losing (0–6 or 0–8), Spencer Rattler won’t hold the starting job. Teams like the Giants have already pivoted to rookies, and the Saints could follow. Shough’s a low-cost stash who could pay off big if he gets a shot. Trade for him in deeper leagues where you can afford to take a flier on a potential starter.
Sell Targets: Cash Out Before the Crash
Garrett Wilson
Wilson’s Week 1 explosion with Justin Fields was a one-hit wonder, driven by unsustainable efficiency. Week 2 was a dud, and Week 3’s success came with Tyrod Taylor’s higher pass volume. With Fields back, both volume and efficiency will drop. Currently WR8, Wilson won’t stay there. Sell him now for top-12 WR value before his production fades. Don’t get stuck holding a declining asset.
Jerry Jeudy
The window to sell Jeudy is almost slammed shut. Cedric Tillman and Harold Fannin have outshone him, and the Browns are leaning run-heavy with JudKing looking like a Nick Chubb clone. If anyone still sees Jeudy as a WR3, trade him immediately. His value is dropping—move him before he’s worthless in your lineup.
Javonte Williams
As the PPR RB7 for the Cowboys, Williams is a sell-high jackpot. He’s getting solid work, but his playoff schedule (Lions, Vikings, Chargers, Commanders) is a nightmare, with no easy matchups after Week 11. Pitch him as an RB1—maybe conceding he’ll finish as RB10–11—and you’ll still get top-tier value. Trade him now before his schedule tanks his production, and avoid starting him in the fantasy playoffs when you’ll be itching to bench him every week.
Travis Etienne
Etienne’s like that flashy sports car that breaks down mid-season—hot early, ice-cold late. In 2024, he started with four of five games in double digits, but only two of the next 12. In 2023, he had five 20+ point games in the first eight weeks, then just one the rest of the year. His second-half fades are as predictable as the 49ers’ injury woes. Sell him while he’s still valued as a top RB, and avoid the inevitable crash.
Saquon Barkley
Barkley’s performing as my projected RB11 (currently RB13), but his 482 touches last year make him a ticking injury time bomb—75% of RBs with 350+ touches miss time the next season, averaging five weeks missed. His schedule gets brutal from Week 10, especially in the playoffs (Chargers, Raiders, Commanders). Sell him for top-five RB value while owners are still dazzled by his name. Don’t wait for injuries or matchups to derail your roster.
Final Thoughts
There you have it, Rewinders—my Week 4 buy and sell targets to help you dominate your league. Load up on players like Benson, Golden, Mayfield, and Williams for playoff runs that’ll have your opponents waving the white flag. Meanwhile, ditch Wilson, Jeudy, Williams, Etienne, Barkley, and Allen before their value crashes harder than a goal-line fumble.
